Love Critical Love

I believe Love is a simple word yet has a great strength to rule someones heart and mind.

There are some times that I am bothered about a simple matter that most people don’t quite understand.

I bet we lose the old romantic love, the kind of love that most of us are seeking yet cannot achieve because of our heart longing of it.

I just wonder why a lot of people with a simple act of love make us fall so badly. And I realised that maybe because a lot of us doesn’t feel it everyday. That is why we are demanding for love too much. It’s a shame that a lot of man and woman fall in love so easily just because somebody showed a little care for them.

And I wonder why there are some people and a lot of christians are trying to avoid love.
Why are the meaning of it is getting out of shape? Why we change our views? Why are we afraid to take some risk?
And I thought that maybe because, we fear that some failed relationships out there would happen to us.
We are afraid that someone would break our heart.

Like if love is converted to money, I think we are so bankrupt in love. So if one got a chance to have one, he would grab it and some are keeping it too much without using it in the right way. If we are really really rich in love and it is overflowing then we do not have any choice but to give.

Maybe it is time for us to be unselfish because, love is not minding our own happiness. It is minding the need of our neighbour. It is not protecting our selves.
If Jesus would protect himself he wouldn’t let himself be nailed on the cross and if He is minding his own happiness then maybe He wouldn’t even try to walk on earth. But NO, Jesus loves us unselfishly.

You see my point is not to arouse and awaken the love but a brotherly love. I want us to love normally, to make it as a manner –
Love not to the only one but to everyone.

Besides, each one of us have a different love story hence we should not compare ourselves to others. It does not mean that if it works for them will also work for us. What’s important is that God is always there, whom we can always consult in every decision we will make.

As a christian I do not want us to under estimate the power of Love but to look beyond its meaning – because we are made of it and somebody died for us out of it. I want us to make a change or rather bring back the right love into its right meaning.

I do not believe in love to the only one and avoid people.
I do not believe in a wrong definition of guarding of hearts and avoid every boys and girls who comes along the way.

I believe in God. I believe in what He said that Love must show.
I believe that we should guard our heart because what we do, flows from who we are.

Love is the basic, and one of the things that our Lord God asked us to do.
His commandments was about it and nothing more.
-Mark 12:31- Love your neighbour as yourself.’There is no commandment greater than these.”

I am writing this not for all the people, but for the christians who are wise enough to understand.
I am writing this because I want us to promote love without any intentions but to love unselfishly.
To Love as how God asked us to.
So our standards would get higher and never would fall easily.

The Lord Disciplines

Hebrew 12:7-11

Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as sons. For what son is not disciplined by his father? 

If you are not disciplined (and everyone undergoes discipline), then you are illegitimate children and not true sons. 

Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of our spirits and live! 

Our fathers disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, that we may share in his holiness.

No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.

Roses and Thorns

How can you say that you love the person when the love you have in your heart is not tested?  So I must say, ‘love; it becomes real when it is tested through pain.’

Most of the people asks for love than pain. Well, that’s true!  Who doesn’t want to feel the love, when that was God’s greatest gift. But you see, there is no love when there is no pain.

Love is not really love at all when a person doesn’t have any experience to be hurt.

Love is not all about happiness alone. Love is not standing into the world where everything works according into your own favour.

Love involves pain and sacrifices.

Just like what Jesus did on the cross, just like what he felt when everybody started to hate him (John15:18).

And that was love a love that was came through the pain. Jesus chose to withstand all the pain that was throwing to Him and ignore hurtful words, because he love us and he died on the cross out of love.

Maybe thats the reason why God created the earth, not just a place for us to live in and do what we wanted to, but because God wants us to experience the pain before we know how it is to be loved and be love. And to continue that love in eternity with Him.

So do not feel bad when things around you doesn’t work in the way you wanted to. But “give thanks in all circumstances” (1 Thessalonians 5:18) because all of those pain are worth it – it can make you strong, humble, and experience the true meaning of love. (see 1 Corinthians 13). by M.D.

Love that will last

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.

Proverbs 3:5

We trust in the Lord with all our heart because he knows everything – our past, present and future. Somethings fail because we often depend on our own understanding and we often depend on what we feel.

I am not a love expert, I am just expert in time and in trusting God. We people are having a hard time to be patient when we found the person we want to have. But that is the reason why love fails; because masyado tayong nag mamadaling makuha ung isang bagay na inakala mong sayo.

Paano mo masasabi na my Forever kung may mga taong nag hihiwalay?

Four SUGGESTED ways to do, as a preparation.

1. Know the Persons Flaws  – before you say that you love him/her.

1. What do we know about the person we like?
2. How could you say that you love or like the person when you do not know who the person well?

Some things fail because we often bring out the best in us, we often present our good sides; that we tend to forget to present our imperfections. Remember that when you get to be with the person someday you cannot hide all your imperfections to him or her forever. So it is better to present yourself – with all what you are – your good and bad sides. Just be real.

Better to reveal than to keep, better accept  now than reject later.

2. Start as Friends – take it slow, and time will tell.

Better to know the person as friend, so you’ll know how he/she get along with other people. It’s also an easy way to know the persons flaws and to let yourself reveal the true you.

Now a lot of us say that, the reason why you want to court the person is for you to get to know her better.  Well for me that’s wrong!  I think when you started to pursue the girl that is the time your saying that your sure of her and that you’re just waiting for her respond.

3. Set Standards – so you won’t fall easily.

Setting a standard helped yourself not to fall easily with strangers. It means your helping yourself to direct it to the right person who is worth having you. Making a list of requirement for the person you want to have someday, means that you will not let yourself fall when he/she doesn’t have this kind of characteristics or personality. Example: 1) This person must be a Christian – who honor God with all his heart and obey God moment by moment. (2Cor 6:14) 2) This person should be fun to be with, who loves adventure and stuff. and etc. Making a list of standards might help you, to find the right person that you want to have. But this is just an option – this may help you not to get lost. Always remember that there is no perfect person. Do not look for a perfect one but a better one. But I believe we can always ask God to give us the right person that is perfectly fit for us. 🙂

4. Develop Yourself – be a better person.

When you developed yourself to be a better person, you are confident that someday someone will love you and accept you, because you know how beautiful you are and you’re worth it. Make yourself a timeline: Making a timeline is like making a business plan. You have to ask yourself this three questions before you start a business.

1. Where do you want to go?
2. How will you get there?
3. Where are you now?

When do you plan to get married and when will you end your single years. List down the stuffs you want to do in your single years. Like: Get to know God more, be like Christ, to know what is love, be a better person. Learn how to cook and etc. –  It is like a preparation when you get married. 

Jesus is My Stronghold

“If anyone of you is without sin let him be the first to throw a stone at her” John 8:7

– until Jesus was left (John 8:9)

Observation: who is without sin?

Interpretation: No one is without sin.

Lesson: Trust in God. Jesus is the only friend that would never leave you.

Many people would try to stone you – hurt you. Even though they are followers of Christ. Even though they knew that God was there. But only Jesus Christ would be there for you at the end of the day. He will never leave you nor forsake you.

Prayer: Lord your word is so powerful, that even in your short words you can rebuke us, and turn us into shame by our wrong attitude. Thank You for always being there for me. Though I made a mistake you are always there to save me.

Light of the World

“The true light that gives light to every man was coming into the world.” John 1:9

Jesus was not the only one who came into the world.

By the time Jesus came and revealed himself to Israel to be baptised with water by John; the Spirit came down from heaven (John 1:31-32). God gave Jesus the authority to give him self to every man in the form of the Holy Spirit (John 1:33).

Reflection:

This Light is God which is Jesus and the Holy Spirit. 

The Holy Spirit : “The true light that gives LIGHT to every man..” John 1:9

The Holy Spirit is one of the light, that gives light to every man. In John 1:33 God said “The man on whom you see the Spirit come down and remain is the one who will baptise with the Holy Spirit.” The Holy Spirit is a gift of God to every man, to experience (the power of) God in his life.

Jesus: “The true LIGHT.. was coming into the world” John 1:9

Jesus was the light of men for : 1)He will take away the sin of every men (John 1:29). 2)He is full of grace and in truth (John 1:14).

John 1:4 It says: ‘In him was life and that life was the light of men.’

WORD GOD JESUS

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning.” John 1:1-2

Reflection:

John 1:1 ‘In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God…’ 

This Word came from the Voice of God; The One who gave life to everything in Genesis 1 when God said “Let there be light..”.

John 1:3 it says “Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.”

Through the Word of God everything was created. This WORD was the VOICE OF GOD in the beginning. So the WORD WAS GOD.

John 1:2 ‘He was with God in the beginning’

Jesus was with God in the beginning  (John 1:14)  “THE WORD BECAME FLESH and made his dwelling among us.” 

Jesus came into the world to be the Voice of God that can be seen and heard.
